Welcome to the Philadelphia Department of Records search site for Historical Land and Vital Records.
Contained within this system are digital images of Philadelphia deed documents dating from 1974 back to 1683 and selected groups of vital records, including births, deaths, marriage and naturalization records, dating from 1794 through 1915.
The records contained in this system are searchable by book & page number, date range or Recorder's initials (in the case of land records) and by month and year (in the case of vital records). The images are digitized from microfilm images of historical documents held in the Philadelphia Archives.
